The current episode features Smacks Records owner and a co-founding member of Company Flow, Mr. Len. Mr. Len and the group he became known for, Company Flow, changed hip-hop forever. They were part of the NYC scene that sparked the independent/underground hip-hop movement. He's since released a solo album "Pity the Fool" on Matador Records, been part of the group, Roosevelt Franklin and started his own label Smacks to which Bullymouth, Kice of Course, Mental Case & Rhino CMZ are signed. On this episode he talks about the state of the underground scene, the state of DJing nowadays, his record label and the rumors of a Company Flow reunion. Also, in the house was Espee from Bullymouth who rocked freestyles at the end with Mr. Len on the tables. The tracks we played are from the roster of Smacks Records: |
